2019-2022 Strategic Area Plan

The Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA) stays true to our mission of providing choices for people to live independently in the place they want to call home.  Every year, WRAAA interacts with thousands of individuals in providing assistance and meeting their needs. 

WRAAA's Strategic Plan supports the Ohio Department of Aging's Strategic Area Plan through its selected objectives, strategies, sub-strategies and outcomes, that are in line with the work we are providing, as well as, the areas in which we want to become involved. In that vein we developed and want to make the current WRAAA Strategic Plan available here.

Each Area Agency on Aging (AAA) in Ohio must submit a four-year Strategic Area Plan (SAP) to the Ohio Department of Aging (ODA). The SAP is a written document containing the strategy to provide for the development and implementation of a comprehensive and coordinated service delivery system for services to older individuals in our service area.  Progress related to the SAP is updated annually and AAAs have the opportunity to make revisions throughout the four-year period. ODA provides a framework that the AAAs must follow in developing the SAP. This public hearing provides an opportunity for the aging network and the public to provide comments on the strategic elements of the plan.
