The WRAAA Foundation at a Glance

Incorporated in 2017, the WRAAA Foundation was created as a result of a new Strategic Plan for the Western Reserve AAA under the guidance of CEO, Dr. E. Douglas Beach.

Building off of the organization's Independent Living Fund, the WRAAA Foundation exists because we believe in ensuring that individuals have the ability to live independently in the place they want to call home. We strive to fill the limitations and gaps in today's service and advocate to support the needs of older adults and people living with disabilities in the five-county area served by WRAAA.

Why WRAAA?

Connected throughout the community in a way in which it can span inter-generational issues and established enough to expand, the WRAAA Foundation is in the perfect position to capitalize on the great work being done by our capable and empathetic staff, as well as be a leader in care coordination, advocacy for older adults, and individuals living with disabilities.

At the top of the field in care coordination, WRAAA is ready to expand as the force behind innovative ideas that will transform aging independently in the place you want to call home.

Foundation Mission

The Foundation supports and promotes the mission of the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging:
“We provide choices for people to live independently in the place they want to call home.”

Foundation Funding Priorities

Independent Living Fund: Meet the basic emergency needs of our consumers who have exhausted all other avenues
Food Insecurity: Ensure older adults have the nutrition and the resources to stay healthy and independent in their homes.
Senior Supports: Explore solutions for issues gripping older adults today, such as telephone scams, fraud, and the Opioid Crisis.
